clutch sounds and noise? - 6G Celicas Forums

posted this on suspension forums, but i figure this place would be more help?

I dont know what's really going on but whenever I am driving and giving it gas with the clutch engaged, it make a clunking or thumping sound. This only happens when I change gears and give it gas, or let go of the gas and press it again with the clutch engaged.

So i lifted it up and decide to spin the wheel while it's on a jackstand and this is the result. When I engaged the engine change disengaged and reengaged the clutch it makes a sound? anyone have any idea what it could be?

The problem started before but after running into some pothole it stopped making that sound while driving, but i hit another pothole and it started again. I kinda wanna just get rid of that sound all together =)

Now on to the solution, can it be the motor mount? or is it something with the transmission?

here's a video of the car when it jacked up, any help would be appreciated.

Does the tranny shake???? For the tranny there is only one mount here's a pic java script:window.close();. Also did you put in a new clutch??? Some more info would be nice about the engine and anything else that u replace?????

the clutch was done years ago when it burned out. the tranny didnt seem to shake and the engine shakes. the only thing that i replace were the springs and shocks. Tiens + kyb. The front end has been making some kinda noise when i go over bumps and stuff, but I dont think it has to do with it does it?

the engine bay stays stocked except for ram intake. I dont really know what else it could be, someone said it could be the throw out bearing?
