Record the engine sound from 7A-FE, someone? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #67819 6 posts Started by AnaXyd
Hello!

I think my engine got a little too loud ticking. My engine is a 7A-FE. Could somebody record the engine sound of another 7A-FE to me? Then I can compare the sound to my engine...

I tried a recording: http://www.diskusjon.no/index.php?act=atta...t&id=290269

Let me know if it doesnt work.

Thanks!

recording is perfect, your 7a-fe sounds like every 89-97 honda civic(HAHA), your timing belt might be starting to go but aside from that, sounds okay to me.

Okay, so I got a completely normal sound? And how can you hear that my timing belt is about to go? tongue.gif
toyota valves tick; dunno why, they just do. Sounds fine imo, and lol @ the timing belt comment
normal valve train noise and injector noise, toyotas injectors have always been loud.

I said might! on ka24det's and sr20's (nissan engines) you hear that same tick when the timing belt is starting to go or the idle pulley is loose. although they use a chain not a belt.
