Stock GT front brake pad retaining clips

The clips that hold the brake pads: there are 4 clips in each caliper bracket. The clips are NOT all the same. 2 have dual spring tabs and 2 have single spring tabs. Does anyone have a picture or description of where each kind goes?

Are you talking about the front or rear brakes?

Each pad should be held in by one of each type of clip, I don't think it really matters which side it goes on.

Thanks, Hurley. Those are very nice pictures. I'm printing them out and sticking them in my factory manual. That's what I thought, but when I opened up mine I found one like that and the other caliper had the inner pad with single-tab clips and outer pad with dual-tab clips.

Apparently, they work well enough either way, because all my pads were equally worn and normal. But it never hurts to do it right

By the way, the factory shop manual shows an illustration, but the clips are drawn too small to make out which is what.

Somebody ought to sticky this info for reference.
