i read some post about taking the drums off but they do not really tell which direction to turn the tooth gear in. do you turn the tooth gear up or down? i think i messed up. i turned the tooth gear up and now the drums are really tight and i can't turn it down to loosen it.

wait are you trying to adjust your parking brake. or are you trying to adjust the shoes on the inside of the drum.

going down is to tighten and up is to loosen i believe. not quite sure though, cant remember.. you should be able to figure it out. its one way or the other
