Topic #67503 43 posts Started by twinkletoestheir...
hey guys and gals been a little busy, oh and got in a car chase two drunk rednecks at 4 in the morning after work and pulled a beautiful J-Turn for the first time. anyway thanks for the comments. yeah ill take the good with the bad i did ask for your opinions but being an ass about it, you must understand, will discourage others from wanting to post any of their stuff and they might have some great ideas but just need a little guidance. be honest but not soo blunt were supposed to be a community. but i am glad to see some of you like it. yeah im 20 and i like crazy if you knew me you would understand. yes the front and back bumper are coming off and being replaced by proper invader kit. no im not taking it back to just black i want to pursue a carrier in this and like i said before i knew nothing about what i was doing but i loved doing it everyone should try its fun as hell. the times i used for painting, about 20 min between same coats and i left it overnight to add the next coat. and i hope it inspires some of you to think outside the box a little, when you really step back and look at things you realize there is no real way that any car should look except your way.
glad you came back with a positive aditude..good job......good speech..........and have fun and enjoy

I kinda like it. Specially the dragon. I expect some clearcoat to get on there. I'm not the flashly type for my own personal vehicle, but that definately shows your desire to put hard work into your vehicle. I can apprecaite that.
did you sand the basecoat, the lady at the counter told me you cant..

Learned a lot in 10 years...I hardly log in anymore, last loginToday Sept 6 2019, and I was forced just to clarify a post. LOLIf you PM me and I dont respond, dont fret or cry. Im alive, better post your questions in the thread below, maybe I log back in2grfe Swapped...Why I chose the 2GR, before you ask read here...A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself from within.@llamaraxing in Instagram is the best way to find me. I hardly log here anymore.
yeah i sanded every coat, it may look smooth but when you feel the car after painting its rough, not horribly so but after a light wet sand with 1500 grit you can really feel the difference and truly get a smooth finish. you can see little white spots and streaks all over where you wet sand but when you clean the car off and go to the next step they disappear. although this is just my experience.
your car looked better without that stripe,
im going to be spraying mine soon, how much paint did you use?
did you use a spray gun or was it rattle cans?
I liked the black, personally I don't like racing strips, I understand I put that on my car, but I just wanted to see how it looked, it looks OK, but i'm gonna finish the whole car off in black soon, However, very good job on the dragon and the blood effect. Where did you get your paint?

I still own my celica, but i'm parting it out and junking it.. Or selling as a whole. Have a honda prelude now :(
wow I'm actually really digging it. Only thing I would say is a darker red would work better and you definitely need more clear coats on it but other than that, nice job. I'm a big fan of doing unique paint jobs.
Well............. So long as you're happy with it, because you are the one driving it. wink.gif
