I know soundslut did some custom fabrication to make his lambo doors. I've been looking at the different kits that are out there for lambo doors. Do you think the 00-03 Celica, 86-92 Supra, or 93-98 Supra kit work.
I was just wondering what everyone thought.
Go to www.autoloc.com
They have alot of good stuff like that.
Thats cool, I didn't know they made a universal kit. Thanks.
the kit from AutoLoc sucks...comes up wierd and closes wierd looks very ugly...id say u go to with the 92-95 honda civic kit and it has very little modifications to it...thats what im doing
what did you do slut?
is that all custom work?

yea they are custom hindges that came from a lamborghini body kit setup to transform a 1988 pontiac fiero into a full lambo kit car.. it didnt fit right at all so i had to modify the post on the side of the dash and extend the inside of my door by welding a metal box onto it,modify a few more small things and then do the exact same thing to the other side... pain in the ass, but to me its actaully a real custom job.. i see cars with the decah or autoloc kit which is nothing but bolt on , they might as well put a bag of 2,000$ on the hood of there car and show that off ;/
note: decah is so fkin easy, ;D
Hey soundslut..how much did you pay in the end for that to be done?
Cruisin down the street in my Infiniti...always lookin for my next trip to Sin City
i did it with my uncle at his body shop, but in the end it would have ended up costing way more then the decah setup because it took about a good month of clean work to actually get it done right.. alot of trial and error.

just some slight mods, i.e. a little drilling and welding. i dont know if anyone has actually done it with the decah hinge on a 6gc that we know of, but it is fairly straightforward. it is a bolt on for the 92-95 civic, which would just mean that u take off your door, figure out with the hinge where the bolts should go, weld em up right there, put everything back together and voila- lambo doors. and if you cant do that im pretty sure you could find a shop that would do it for ya. prolly cost less than 2k altogether, including the $1500 hinge and prolly around $500 worth of labor, maybe less.
