Some news on my daily driver...

This was my daily till about a month ago

180,000 kms
Air cond, power steer, central locking etc



Mods
Lowered
15% tint
Watanabe
S2000 antenna

Owned it for about 2 years put on about 30000kms.
Was a good solid reliable comfortable daily
Now driven by my brother... So that means I now need to find a daily
after weeks of searching for a cheap daily...
I got this



Yep another Corona, but this time its a RT142.
Its a 86 model
2.4L EFI (22RE)
188xxx kms on the clock
Im the 3rd owner
its in pretty good nick and stock
Got all the option I need in a daily: Air cond also has power steering, central locking, power mirrors, tow bar etc

Plans are simple will be similar to my last one
Tint, lowered, modern head unit, and some hella flush wheels

Time for an update for those following at home.

RT40 is now drivable after:
new clutch master cylinder
reconditioned brake master cylinder
New water pump
4 new wheels cylinders
Flush and new engine oil, cartridge oil filter
Flush and new gearbox oil
Flush and new Brake and clutch fluid
Flush and new diff oil
Flush radiator
New battery

Now its sitting at the paint shop waiting for some paint. Will be awhile till that happens.

Since the last update,
Ive lowered the front (would like it abit lower, but it will do for now)
Still need to lower the rear
15% tints & sunshade
MA61 wheels - nice offset
Headunit (MP3 USB Bluetooth)
Re-gassed Aircond

But for now its a good daily

This is a 1975 KE30 Toyota Corolla Coupe
Been wanting one of these for awhile. So when this popped up it was hard to refuse.

3K (1.2L of fury lol)
4 speed manual
3rd owner (last owner has her since 83)
135xxxkms (2nd owner used it as a second car)
Engine and drivetrain runs great.
Exterior will need some work
Interior will also need some of work, cant wait to redo the interior in red/burgandy(original)
will look good with the white exterior
I should finish the RT40 first before I start on this one. One project at a time.

KE30 Coupe is now sold. It was too much work for me to restore, but will get another one in better nick in the future.

KE30 Coupe is now sold, decided it was just too much work and $ to get right

But got a new replacement





Yep another Corona

This one is somewhat different to my current one im restoring.

Factory Spec / features
1966 Toyota Corona RT40 1600S
1600cc Dual Carbie (4R)
Factory sport exhaust
4 Speed manual
Tacho Dash
Factory Bucket seat
Blue Tinted window (from factory)
Front Disk Brake (same as E type Jag - from what im told)
14" wheels (have factory hubcaps just havent put them on yet)
Probably more specs but I cant remember atm

As far as I can work out, I'll be the 3rd owner of the car.
The 2nd owner who owned it for a long time (20+ years) pass away recently.
The car is originally Gray/Silver colour, with a red interior (2nd owner done a home job blue respray)



Aim for this one is to return it as close to factory spec as possible

New Toy... well not so new... about 4 months ago.

Original motor 5ME (3XXkm)
Original interior, including radio, no crack in dash or tear in seats
Original Paint (needs a good polish)
The car is in good nick.
I think i am the 3rd owner (the last owner has it for about 20 years?)

Brought this to grab the manual running gear out of it.


Was a long 3 month to strip the bits, swap the bits over. Only got a chance to work on it a few hours on every saturday. But was well worth it.

No progress on the other cars

I love that shade of green; my only non-traditional change would be a different set of wheels, but otherwise it's so lovely. Such a nice look, fender-mount mirrors...

Dry sanded
Wet sanded
Now its ready for colour (this week hopefully)
been over a year in the making

A new toy that ive just purchased





1978 Toyota Cressida MX32
Have been wanting one for awhile.
Have looked at a few, but none really as original as this.
Most have cracked dash and aftermarket radio.
This one has a perfect dash and the original radio working.
Door Trim perfect too.
Seats all perfect beside the sag in drivers seat (no biggie)
Hasnt been in an accident, mostly original paint some surface rust, but will be repainting.

1 owner (only sold cause the owner cant drive anymore)
21XXXX kms
just redone the whole brake system as one caliper was seized and spongy from lack of use.


Plans for this is
Pearl white paintjob
fender mirrors
lowered
some SSR MK2/3 or Mesh wheels

getting back at it.
"life" got in the way for a bit with studying abroad, graduating, being broke and finally getting a job, fixing up my daily beater corolla, and of course my 6gc. hahaha

but hopefully can pour some more cash into my RA24 soon. Got it running a few months ago. vacuum diagram was messed up so I got it idling now. started sanding a bit of the body. still a long ways to go.
