Due to new laws in Holland Xenon lights are only legal if the brace have code HC, HR or HCR. Normal braces with code DC, DR or DCR must use normal halogen bulbs. I have 8k Xenon now, and i dont wanna switch back to halogen, so can someone confirm which braces Celica have? Thanks a trillion!
Headlight brace question - 6G Celicas Forums
Okay, you got me stumped! What is a "brace"?
I think the brace is the backside of the lights...where the lights are mounted to for adjustment?
Hi, there,
Didn't forget you, Did some looking and I wasn't able to find what you are are referring to as a "brace". The only Parts I found like that were on a website called "http://www.clipsandfasteners.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=13&Search=&RefineBy_Price=12-14" Toyota Lexus parts, They're quite small and there was no reference to the Descriptors you mentioned above. Is it possible they are referring to the whole light assembly as a "lamp bracket"?
I looked at my headlights and the only numbers I found were as follows:
Low Beams:
housing PP-T20
reflector UP M60 GF20
extension PC
lamps: US HB4
Japan 12V 55W
Europe HB3 12V 51W
High Beams only had info on lamp size.
I would think given the year your Celica was made, that there would be a "grandfather clause" somewhere saying that vehicles made before "X" year are not affected by newer rules/laws.
