wheel spacers - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #66793 26 posts Started by Igorkatayev
does anyone have them? any Pics? what would be a good fit?
i've got some, here are my pictures with 25mm spacers, before and after. i did have problems with rubbing, rolling or cutting the fenders would solve the problem, never got around to it, then lowered my car, so i took them off. i had 20mm in the front, all worked out well with them. i'll have to look and see which pair i have left, i sold one set, but i'll hook you up with them for $40USD shipped to the US, $50 for international.

Before

after

you can see one of the spacers on the ground.

I've got 2 inch all around. Obviously the rear is ok but the front rubs on the inside of the wheel well a little bit with 15" wheels and when I put on my 18" it gets even worse...

here's a shot of my wheels with a wheel adaptor. Its kind of hard to specify what size would fit best. Do you want them on your stock wheels? or you wanna get after market wheels? edit: also, what offset? i think offset is the biggest factor.

I drove my car to a shop, told them i needed adaptors (the rims were 5x114.3) which serve as spacers, and told them to make the wheels flush with the fender.

See if they have a shop around you where they could do this for you. i pad around $250 for all 4.

thanks man, let me know when you want to get them. ill go with you to the shop. they are here in the valley though so you would have to make the drive but its worth it. these guys know what they are doing, they are really pro. I literally drove in, they took a wheel off the front, took measurements and fired up 4 CNC machines, one for each adaptor... i was there for under an hour and left with the perfect spacing for the wheels.
wow thats sweet...completely flushed!

wow thanks for the replys. i got TC wheels on my car and i have it lowered with kyb shocks and tenabe springs. i just want the wheel out more . what would be a good size to get from H&R spacers?
Coming from someone who can order them right from a specific company, you want to find out how much you want to push the rims out by using the calculation of 1"=25.4 millimeters. When you get past your basic 5mm spacer you can possibly put strain on the tips of your studs because the lug nuts are grabbing onto less than before. I personally would go with the spacer adapters which bolt onto your existing lug nuts and cover them while giving you a new set of studs to put your rims on and you can get several different kinds of bolt patterns from the adapters. Usually they adapters are around and inch in width and look exactly like eggman's. Now I'm tempted knowing how friggin good it looks

those wheels spacers on the links ARE NOT SAFE, the hub hole is universal meaning is just a hole, you're suppose to get spacers with a female side size 54.1 and on outer lip of the same size just like the stock hubs, so the wheel can rotate on the same axis, also, a specar with holes and and longer studs on the stock hub is highlt recomended, the only time people should use studs already on the spacers is when doing a bolt pattern conversion ( like from 5 x 100 to 5 x 144.5 )

look into H & r or ichiva ?
Eibach also makes spacers.
i think the spacers for the scion tc fit to.

Ichibia.

They make great quality spacers. Most of the 7th gen users prefer them.

shoot he is right, you need the right diameter hole for them to fit correctly. But i would NOT say they are not safe. Ive have mine for over a year. Ive driven them hard, on the freeway, hard braking and have had NO problems. i have a life time warranty on my mine. But you absolutely have to get the right size hole for them to work properly.
eggman if I remember right yours were custom made for you by a local shop ? is not the same as buying eBay spacers one size fits all. lol so I can see why yours have standed the abuse.

true, i did note that you need to get the right sized center hole and that they have to be hub centric. I met a dude here in so cal who is runing the ebay spacers on his supercharged lexus IS200, he's had no issues with them. He said he had his almost a year at the time.

i agree, getting a custom set would be ideal, but since Ive heard first hand that the ebay ones work too... i'll throw that info out there as well.
you're 100% correct there are ebay non brand spacers that are safe, but you have to know them to find them.

to OP, look for spacers with a center bore of 54.1 and a hub centric ring sticking out for the wheel and longer studs included but not attached to the ring.

I found a seller who sells these for ~ 90 once I get them and ride with them I'll let you know my impressions.

bumpo, did you get these spacers.

Id say the first one. Just make sure the bore is 56.1 or 56.X i forgot what it was, just celica sized bore and you should be right.

they are celica specific.

sorry I didn't see this before,

from those links posted, the second one is the better option.

here is why, on the first link, that setup has lug nuts that will be hidden behind the wheel once they are installed, if one ( or more ) is to come loose you would most likely notice it when is too late, don't get me wrong, they are safe, and people use them with sucess, but that type of setup is more suited for bolt pattent conversions, like going from 5 x 100 to 5 x 114.5 or something like that, when you are keeping the same bolt pattern longer studs are safer since you have less moving parts, keeping a closer to stock setup with only 5 nuts to worry about.

you also got PM'ed
