why arent tein and tanabe on the list
Because Megan and Ksport is the most available now and Tein and Tanabe are not on the affordable side.

But I do have the megan coilovers - they can even get softer than stock but can also fine tune the ride comfort. I heard from others that Ksports are stiff. Megan and Ksport are fully adjustable.

tanabe's go for 800 of not less
i have tanabe's and they don't have adjustable damper settings, nor do they come with adjustable camber plates.
if you're getting coilovers then i'd definitely recommend getting one with the adjustable top mounts.
there are two versions of teins that come with them and the one that is common in north america doesn't offer the adjustable plates.

Megan Coilovers are great. I have the setting right between soft and stiff and the ride is wonderful, specially in cornering, maybe that's because I have the ST swaybars intalled too... lol
whatever you get, dont get ebay!!!

lol

btw i think megan are gonna be the one
they seems to have good review
ps: does anyone know bad history about them?
I have ksport and there set more on the stiffer side but I don't like body roll.... but there awesome in the corners you can soften them up for more comfort

depends...the ones with the helper spring retails for like 1100 and the ones without is around 900. some places will have 'em cheaper, depends. i have the tanabes type 1 with the helper spring and i freakin' love 'em. non adjustable dampening but the ride comfort is pretty damn good and these things handle well. im still on the stock sway bars (STs soon) and body roll is very minimal if at all on these. great quality parts id say. it would be nice to have pillow ball mounts tho lol

So Megan Racing is the way to go? I am lookin for the exact same thing as topic starter. I want to have the possibility to manually adjust my height, without losing the comfort ride.
what about ground control? quality stuff from what i hear. and if you want, you can special request your own spring rates.

95 Celica ST (currently in Motorsport Purgatory)
Megans downright feel comfortable - tune it to how you like it.

Great. Is the ST suspension the same as the GT suspension? (GT=3S-GE?)
Ive never used the megan's but I had a set of K-sport in my 5th gen and they kicked ass i had my car with just under and inch of clearance between the wheel and well and had them pretty stiff and i never it the well just my mud guards scraped a little but Im gonna get some for my new 6th gen depends who is cheaper, from what i read they are basicly the same.
i vote for Tein made for the st202 in the european area with pillow mounts...my opinion...cost a lot but well worth it
if you are getting the basic TEIN especially at the expensive rate, I wouldn't do it. Not much adjustability and not always comes with top mounts and extra adjustability. NOT bang for your buck although I do know they have great ride but thats just like many of the fully adjustable coilovers coming out recently. I wouldn't buy TEIN unless I am looking at their higher end line with a deeper pocket.
