Hi guys and quick question about the courtesy door lamps - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #66014 10 posts Started by brento_bot
Hi guys, I've been a member here for a couple of weeks and been constantly perusing the forums for ideas for my newly aquired Black 97' ZR. Hopefully will get pictures up in the next few days to show you guys.

Anyway, just a quick question, I've searched the forums high and low and don't seem to be able to find any info on it. Is there anywhere ypu can get a different colour cover for the courtesy door lamps. I'm changing all my interior light to blue and the red looks out of place. I'm after either blue ones or clear ones so i can change the colour of the light.

Can you get them aftermarket or did a certain model come with clear ones. or is there another car that has the same ones.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Okay so i just searched it (duh, stupid me) And found that you can get clear ones from a toyta Tundra? I live in Australia and have no idea if the Tundra exists over here. It may but i've never heard of it.. Is there a car in Australia that will fit it in?
google Toyota Tundra to see what it looks like and then find whatever its equivalent is over where you live. I'm sure there's some verision of the Tundra or likes thereof in Aussie, isn't there? Maybe even a Toyota Hilux has the same courtesy lights?
ok so reading before on some other topic bout courtesy lights. Some member was saying that all euro and U.S. celica's had courtesy lights on the inside of the door panel. i don't and i have a st.

Hmm..you're gonna have to pick up a bulbholder/plug that plugs into the existing door electronics harness. You should also order some Tundra clear courtesy door lenses and put some different color LEDs in there smile.gif

Pandelica 2.0 in progress.
Just tried to order from the local MrT (The part number 81231-0C010), and they checked with Japan and couldn't find the part. Can someone please confirm the part number?

Yep, that's the same part number I used to order mine from Toyotaworld (link is below). Make sure that the dealer is inputing the correct numbers.
