So i've been researching all of the suspension bits i want to buy this summer since as of this saturday, I will make my last $1000 payment on the celica


paying off a loan 2 years ahead of time FTW!

the run down:
buy lots and and lots of tools -check
research research research - never ends -_-
pay off car -CHECK
upgrade all things handling - in progress.

sooo in my boredom between engineering classes I've been finding part numbers, prices, and E-tailers i can trust.
reading the stickies and such i found that the tein ss part number for our cars is DSL36-KUSS2. Awesome, except that these dont come with
pillow ball upper mounts. No big deal i thought, ill just buy them separate. The problem is that the tein global website doesn't list pillowball mounts
for the celica. I know malpaso has a set of jdm at200 pillowball teins that fit st202 and st204, i think the exact part number is (GST86-B1SS4) but those are edfc and hence cost more. I just want the regular DSL36's with a set of pillowballs. So i was wondering how all of you have the mounts???

any help is appreciated!

Yea - pillowball mounts in the rear would only have damper (if any) but no camber settings for sure.

there is no dampening of a mount as it is a mount and not a shock,

thank you for the replies. I figured it was a different brand. and i guess the rear camber will have to be adjusted with the bolt on the control arm.

do you guys have a favorite website that sells these? i found a few that look trustworthy, but id much rather buy somewhere that 6gc recommends

Dan - dampening control is found on the mount as that is where it is located but it is for the shock. I know what it is.

I SAID DAMPENING CONTROLS IS FOUND AT THE MOUNT (if you wanted to adjust), I NEVER SAID IT WAS PART OF THE ACTUAL MOUNT OR IS THE MOUNT. Obviously, they won't place the dampening controls for the coilovers from your steering wheel or near your trunk release. Stop being smart. I have full coilovers and this is my third suspension setup, No need to show me pics, I understand suspension very well.

What do you want me to say? Its under the mount? Its around the mount? Its seperate from the mount but goes through the mount? I think people here are smart enough to figure that out.

Hmm, I don't think the original question was answered. Or I'm not sure if this was the original question, but here it goes. I was wondering where I would be able to get the TEIN pillowball mounts for my car? I have the TEIN ss suspension that did not come with the top mounts. I would really like to get the TEIN ones, but I'm not sure which ones would fit my car or where to get them. I know the ST205 and ST204 use different suspension, but do they share the same top mounts? ALSO, while I'm asking questions, what is the main reason that TEIN EDFC is not compatible with the tein coilovers I have. Is it because it won't fit on without the pillowball mounts? Will it be compatible if I get the TEIN or other pillowball mount? You two seem to know a lot about the suspension, so please help me out.

celicarus bought a set of Cusco top mounts for his DSL36-KUSS2 Tein coilovers. he also bought an EDFC for it but has not posted whether he got them working or not.
