power steering - 6G Celicas Forums

whats the easiest / safest way to remove power steering?

remove the belt. lol

but like to remove the pump && everything?? idk. take off the pump and hoook the 2 lines together on thte steering rack to keep it lubbed up

well make sure you drain it then its pretty easy from there, Just un bolt. I'm not sure if you'd have to take the pully off or not but you might.

The appropriate way is to also dis-assemble the steering rack and pull out the seals, essentially making it a manual-rack with a fast gear.

Just removing the pump and such will make the steering harder than if it was a regular manual-steering system.
