Hello all, Im new to celicas, but i love thier styling and potential for power. I recently bought a black 94 gts hatchback. My last car was a 98 neon that i turbo'd and was running 13's in the 1/4 mile. My goal for this car is to get into the 14 seconds at the 1/4 mile this year, probably with a turbo setup. There is tons of info on here so ill have lots of reading to do before i get there. Ive seen some pretty amazing cars on here already, hope mine will look that good someday. Im not sure how to put pics on here yet, but i do have some on my profile. enjoy

hey how fast does the stock celica gt run in the 1/4? will the 5sfe and the 3sgte turbo get me into the low 14's, or will i need forged internals or a 3sgte swap?

A 5SFTE with a T3 will also get you into the 13's without a problem. I see you posted you ran 13's in your neon, well then you will understand these times, considering you have raced before. I never race the 1/4 mile before, so I took my gf's car (supershannon77's car) down the track for my first time, and the cars first time.

The results were 14.3 at 107mph, yes I know...the times should have been well into the 13's but it was due to VERY poor 60' times.....2.5 second 60' times to be exact. With a bit more practice, I am sure I will bring home a mid to low 13 number.

ok so 13's shouldnt be to hard to get with a 5SFTE, good to know. anyone know how heavy the celica is? 13's isnt to hard in a neon kuz its only 2400lbs. thanks for all the info too guys!

Ah you call them winter rims? I call them "1st Mod". I tell everyone, "You see a guy with no modifications on the car, but the hubs are at least taken off so they look all black. That's the *1st Mod*". I like that term for it.

lol thanks Random, actually i just put on a short tube header last weekend, so now i have a few mods, including cai and full exhaust system.
