FS: Cusco pillowball strut mounts (front) & vincent_doggy cooling - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #64288 13 posts Started by _mikeE
Hey guys, as some of you may know I'm in need of money due to all the problems that accumulated in my life since May hence why I also rarely went onto 6gc.net as well
Anyway, after doing the st205 front conversion and having it painted, i was set for awhile as i was also trying to clear all the conflicts and issues I had going on and as I fianlly got them all resolved, guess what happens; BAM i get into an accident greaaaaaaaaaaaaat....don't want to claim insurance so i'm sourcing out parts and trying to fix the damages myself. Therefore, I will have to sell some parts that I can't afford to have as some of them are just laying around as well.
Anyway, for now I have my cusco pillowball strut mounts that I bought off 2bcelica i believe his name was awhile back but never did get to putting them on the car as you can see in one of the pictures, they're still in the box it came sent to me with. Also, I have vincent ma's cooling panel which btw came without any defects and in perfect condition; I also went ahead and gave it a spray of flat black.
For the cusco mounts, I'm asking 170 + shipping and for the cooling panel i'm asking 100 + shipping.

I also have some OEM parts as well such as the UK oem tail lights w/ bulbs, and OEM shifter.
And, have APC clear fender/accent lights 20 + shipping SOLD, yellow momo shift knob w/ shift boot 35 + shipping, some yellow air filter 10 + shipping.

Also, I have custom-made canards for the pre-facelift bumper but would probably fit the facelift bumper as well. I did post these canards up on a FS thread a long time ago, but kinda forgot about it so that's why i'm re-posting it. Sorry, I do not have these canards on as they were already taken off when I purchased the car however, I tried the best i can to take pictures of the holes on the bumper (also 2 holes on the fenders as well, but they're gone now as I had already filled them and painted over). I'm thinking 60 + shipping
Just proving to you that these were once on the car:

Please PM me if you want to negotiate prices or make offers. Thank you!

so whats the thing with the cusco strut mounts? what do they do? any benefits? i need a new mount, but if these are an upgrade that would be nice. im sittin on kybs, and teins if it matters.
These are definitely an awesome upgrade from what people tell me.

You'll find what you're looking for in this thread.

I'm also on KYBs and tein springs as well; it's a shame I never did get to put these on the car to see how it feels and the difference. But they will look nice when you open your hood though. biggrin.gif
well now im not sure. all i really want to do is eliminate all the clunking in my strut mounts when i turn, and it loks like these would actually make that worse kindasad.gif
The clunking in your strut mounts are caused by the strut bearings going bad.
These would actually resolve that issue.
if your strut mounts are clunking, then you need new mounts. cusco mounts cannot clunk unlike oem mounts.

got the alignment done - and steering wheel centered --

one bad thing about the cusco mounts - is that it doesn't have a bearing device - because without that its compressing the parts or springs part causing a little grinding noise -- when the time allows i will have to contact a bearing manufacturing company to produce something for this problem --

the noise wasn't as bad as the dropzone coilovers i had back then -- cornering feels a bit better --

thats whats got me worried. if theres no bearing, i would think its going to clunk a bit. please excuse the questions, i have absolutely NO experience in this situation and the clunking in my suspension is driving me crazy!!!!!
