I would get the 350z and i believe that the S2000 is the number one stolen car in America right now. but w/e strikes your fancy

Any who I voted for the s2k simply that I think they are beautiful looking cars...never driven either car but I have always been a fan of the s2k.

Actually, I revise my earlier statement...get the Z if you want a "real" engine, I'm not a fan of the interior myself but the JDM-tyte Dorifto deal does appeal to me. The S2k looks a bit better to me, and it's sort of closer in theory to a Celica...less power, but it's light and handles well.

Either way, you're getting a good car and I'll be jealous

driven both and spent extensive hours straight inside of an S2000 (think 14 hrs non stop literally)

S2000 handles better and well you can't expect it to have low end tq...cause its not made for it.
However is is very loud inside the car. there are versions AP1 (9k redline) and post 2004 AP2 (8k redline)
I never really saw the advantage of 9k as I would mostly only use 8k worth of rpm range.
very stable fun more in touch with the weekend track car feel and setup.

350z is quieter and more comfortable on a daily basis, but its more tame than an S2000.
handling is good but I wasn't too impressed with it. Im also not a fan of the big rear bar in the hatch and nasty looking steering wheel.

Well, I don't know where you are getting your info from, but its a a little off. I know from EXPERIENCE that my car owns mustangs, 350z, and honda s2000's all day long. You say you are sure shannons car would win (which you are right, again from EXPERIENCE) but it doesn't count because it is not stock, ok neither is a 3s swapped celica? But since were compating these cars against a stock 3s swapped celica......my car beats Shannon's car and my car IS a stock swapped celica. Aside from intake, exhaust, and boost controller.....so yes STOCK GEN3.

I got the 1/4 mile numbers from punching in the numbers listed above. LOLOLOL, and no I am not saying my car will run an 11.6 (god that would be sweet) but based off the posted 1/4 mile times, my car owns by a mile. These numbers will vary GREATLY due to change in ACTUAL weight, traction, driver, and car specific WHP. It was the "best" comparison I could come up with keeping everything constant and having the only variables being power and weight. But, based on the numbers compared, they have quite a ways to catch me.

Jim that is not a fact....and bring it on.

I prefer the s2k. The 350z is just too lumpy/humpy for my taste. The s2k has such clean, smooth, flowing body lines. And for a naturally aspirated 4 banger it puts out ALOT of power.
