anybody know anything about building the 5sfe to be powerful and fast? i know you can turbo it. im already looking into that and i have decided that instead of spending loads of money on a 3s swap i am going to build my 5s smile.gif so i need to know of some performance parts for the 5s. biggrin.gif

some good gains can be had by regrinding the 5s cams. and i think alot of 3s internals can be modified a little to fit into the 5s although im not too sure which ones.

If you want to handle boost pick up some Pauter rods and cp pistons. You want more power regrind cams and redo your head.

I've heard somewhere that you can't really pull a whole lot of power out of the 5SFE like you can certain other motors, so it's best to not even try. Can anyone confirm or prove this wrong?

from what I've read thats true but I mean, you can get power its just how much money you have, and modding the 5sfe isn't good value for money. cam regrinds should put 20hp but thats generally over $1000? so whats that make, 155hp when you could pick up a 3sge for the same kind of money with 175hp.

You build the 5sfe not for NA high compression power. You build it for boost.
