license plate problem - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #6408 7 posts Started by Crzybakerdog
ok well whoever put on my license plate was an idiot and put it over the back one so now there are two top bolts on the top part of the back one and the bottom two bolts are going through each of them to hold them on to the rear of the car, well with my new 2 12" mtx box in the trunk i get the horrible rattling sound on the license plate and since there are two of them it sounds even worse. What should i do about this . Oh ya all the bolts on the plates are rusted tight and i cant even get anything around them to take them off.( dont have a bolt cutter either) >mad.gif> also what can i use to hold a license plate on front? I got pulled over for not having one and when i put one on a week later it fell off >mad.gif> ie need license plate holder for font.
i think dynamat would help. and did u get a ticket for not having a front license plate or just pulled over?

and i have an mtx 12" sub too >smile.gif>
i got pulled over but no ticket just a warning and notice to get it fixed in 10 days, week after that it fell off the front.
on ebay you can get like 36 sq ft of dynamat for like 100 bucks

i bought it a while back and had enough to do the trunk area, doors, rear speakers, and under both front seats.

dont get anything besides dynamat

that brown bread crap doenst work worth crap. and its not that sticky so it falls off pretty quick. dynamat is the best.

for a front license plate holder there should be two holes in the front bumper where you can bolt it in

if not then make holes

or

put it in your front window
Dynamat actually makes some sort of license plate frame that holds it without rattle.

i am awesome
haha

dude i bought that too

its like 10 bucks

totally not worth it

didnt do anything except make my license plate heavier
something that works better than dynomat is that paint on truck bed liner.. it works awesome and you can use it on the back of license plates just fine.. as for the plate.. try drilling out the bolts and then using larger bolts to put it back in.. that might work for you just be carful not to make the holes too big.
