ok well ive been having these wierd dreams lately about a girl i use to talk to. well basicly im perfectly happy right now, im stable, have a nice girlfriend, stable job and all that stuff. but this girl ive been dreaming of is really bugging me. everysince ive been dreaming of her ive been thinking about her alot. we never got the chance to date or aything but we hung out, drank a couple times together, party with each other and even went and ate and watch movies with each other. but we never really hooked up and started dating...
so what im getting too is what do u guys think? should i look this girl up and see whats going on or just forget about it and let it be???
have anyoe on here ever had this happen to them or something close??

I don't like to give people advice about their private lives as I'd hate to be the person that told them the absolute wrong thing that led to drama or trauma of some type. But I will say that I truly belive that dreams can be prophetic as I've had many many dreams that later can to be true [Especially recently but also throughout my life]. I'm not sure how or why this can happen but perhaps it's your prophetic dream and maybe now would be a good time to look her up? Was the tone of the dream optimistic?

was the dream optimistic? well yeah kinda..its been really wierd..i havent had a dream that felt so real...gosh im stump!!! not sure what to do but i think i might have to look her up and see how and why things didnt turn out..but at the dame time i dont know...also yeah i do kinda look to dreams too but this could be a hard one....

will- i never hurt anne before and yeah i know my junk will get ripped off and burned then feed to the dogs.... but u know i dont know thats why....haha

well thats what you told me back then that you cheated on her before fool. But forget that I say no. Things didn't happen for a reason. For what reason? I don't know. Trust me I think and dream of the same things some times but I just let it go, because it was just not meant to be.

You are dreaming about your "old girl" because things are going so well with you current girl and wether you know it or not you are starting to get some serious feelings for her. When you start to get those feelings for someone you mind(being a guy) starts looking back at who has made you happy in the past, if you ask me(which you are) its just your sub-concious playing with you because you are happy. When you start to feel happy your mind usually cant handle it/doesnt believe it right away...

Give your current girl more time before you do anything crazy like leave her or cheat on her for some hit it and quit it... I have been where you are before and going for the hit it and quit is never worth it in the end

Dreams tell us many things with an ear that listens and a heart that seeks beyond the eyes. From what I can gather, you are either content with life, very serious in your relationship, that because your life is going so well your brain is bringing up loose ends because you may question how long this shall last.

For instance, say there is a car you have really wanted, and had liked other cars. You finally get the car you want and you are very happy, although since you are very happy a part of you asks "What If?". So because you also wondered if that other car would or could have brought you the same happiness, if not more, you will focus on that since now you have already gotten what you wanted. Scenario: you cheat on your current girlfriend for the girl in your dreams, the girl finds out you cheated on your ex. if anything were to start between you and dream woman, she may not trust your past therefore leading to an unhealthy relationship. lose/lose situation.

look, the only person that can analyze a dream is yourself. do some research and come up with your own conclusion. just be ready for whatever consequences come your way-good or bad.

wow random that was really deep!! haha well yeah i have been giving it some thought and i suppose that i should just stop thinking about her...im not insecure or anything but these things does bug me when i have the same dream over and over and over again..i had the same dream like 5 times already?? but something is giving me a nugde and telling me that she might be in the same area that im moving too for school, but well see moving to school and stayin is a whole different topic..thanks for the heads up and nice reply...

I had sort of a weird dream last night. When I lived in the apartment in Switzerland, our upstairs neighbors used to be the most awesome people...they were like grandparents to me. I always came over for dinner, and he taught me how to ride my bike...just grandparent-kind of things. He died February of this year, and his wife still lives there...I had a dream last night that I went over there for vacation and when I arrived at the apartment, they were together again...and the dream sort of ended there.

Weird.

I have had dreams where enemies are my friend. Sure enough, we cross paths and we become friends. Even met a guy who wanted to shoot me (and could have easily done it I might add). But after we met up, we discussed it all (I slept with his woman it had turned out) and became cool with each other.

Glad you liked the reply. I put a lot of thought into spiritual things and of the sort. Has always been a huge part of my life since, well....... my existence.

I though i was the only person with that vivid of an imagination that could materialize people out of nowhere, especially seeing as most of my dreams are lucid. So i (sorta) actively know (actively create atleast) W/e i want... but i find myself doing the same things over and over.... I'm predictable to myself. And most of my dreams are dirty lol, what's up with that

I believe dreaming of made up people have to do with "Desire". I know it sounds like a simple "Duh", but the point is, sometimes we fall in love with the feeling of falling in love and so, those you meet in real life are not good enough, because it entices you more to keep looking forward to meeting "That Girl", even though she is no where to be found. It has to the with the excitement of always wondering.

LOL Nah, it is just from stuff I have looked up and eventually came to see as how they work.

For instance;

Dreams of vampires = someone or people are taking advantage of you
Dreams of spiders = there is something on your minding eating at you
Dreams of fruit, such as strawberries = sexual frustration
Dreams of enemies = usually result in friendship or a mutual respect
Dreams of $#!T = usually means some money coming your way
Dreams of someone dying = usually promises a prolonged life for that one
Dreams of someone constantly = usually means a reunion or some sort

And that is all I can think of off the top of my head at this time. How I discovered the one about the fruit was that I had this dream once, I was holding a giant strawberry that had fleshy tissue around it and appeared like a human heart. I bit into it, and the "blood" was so sweet. I was holding it and following my girlfriend at the time around (in the dream), until I decided to bite into it. I looked it up, said it meant sexual frustration, which was proven to be true. I had a craving for her until that following weekend when that void was filled again. God, I miss that girl, too bad she was stupid.

And yes! I've heard of the dreams about poop giving you $$. TOO bad i never had that dream..

OP - I for one think that dreams mean something. I may not always be the best at determining what they mean, I can barely figure out my own. You say that your life is stable, and that everything is okie dokie, and now you are dreaming about this other girl. I think maybe its cause we as humans deep down seek for conflict in life. We need excitement and to shake things up from the mundane everyday life, and maybe you dreaming about this girl is your mind telling you that.

Most jobs now a days don't exactly challenge people and put them in that risk taking lifestyle we might imagine.

I am in no way saying to "go after her," but you should try to figure out what your subconscious is trying to tell you. Maybe just making contact over the phone or whatever may ease your mind - no need to jeopardize your current relationship.

no, but it would serve as a sort of guideline instead of having 14,15,16,17,18 year old kids thinking they have some sort of superior insight into things.... Ask me a question about life and more times then not I'll side with a 35 year old who has been around the block and has real life insight versus a 16 year old kid whose most tedious task to date was passing his algebra exam.... Age doesn't always matter, but more times then not, older people have a LOT more insight into real life events, younger kids just aren't mature enough, end of discussion. I'm 20 (21 tomorrow) and I wouldn't dare to act like I'm mature enough to give someone killer advice on their life, especially when it's not logical advice.

i had read through this thread a few days ago and thought it was a bunch of bull, but then last night i had a very detailed dream about a girl i knew back in high school that we liked each other but never really hooked up (similar to OP's situation).........
so today i called this girl and turns out shes coming down to visit family for the holidays and wants to hang out.

OP- so im just saying, its not a crime to wonder about this girl that happens to be in your dreams. you just dont have to blow anything out of proportion. everyones saying "dont mess up what you have with your girl" but i say neither one has to kno about the other. but then again i dont have a girlfriend right now so i dont have anything to mess up
