Buying Suspension? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #63877 6 posts Started by potstickerz
I've been looking into investing in some suspension for my car. I'm not sure what's best for me. My car is daily driver, and I occasionally enjoy taking the back roads at high speed. My car is just sitting on stock suspensions right now.

My question is: What do you think would be best for me to invest in, and where do I get it?

Thanks biggrin.gif
A good setup i think would be ground control coilovers with koni yellows or kybs,or k-sports coilovers, these two setups i would recommend if you are on a budget, or if you want to go all out, go with the tein ss coilover setup, the teins are a little on the expensive side like $1300 to $1600 bucks, but the k-sports i think you can get them for maybe like $700 or $800 bucks, i know its a company called www.erzperformance.com. A good coilover setup with front and rear suspension tech sway bars and front and rear twosrus endlinks, along with a j-speed or cusco front strut bar, your celi will definately handle like a champ, and you will really enjoy those back roads.

What made a lot of difference on my car was the rcr 3 point rear strut bar. And what made it almost feel complete was the j-peed 3 point front strut bar. I am also lowered on sprint springs and kyb struts. But I feel that once I get the ST sway bars and st185 endlinks, I can call the suspension a DAY and finally say the handling is complete.

You can go with a set of KYBs for around 300 and some dropzone springs for around 150 plus 50 for some crashbolts and 50 for an alignment. you get around $550 for drop and lower supensions. Not too shabby for somone on a budget. Get it off Ebay.

thanks for the reply. I think im going to go for some ground control coilovers with koni yellows. I can't seem to find KYB's anywhere. (unless you can designate me to a website) Hopefully, in the future ill get sway bars.
