Alright my Celica's valve cover is leaking. I'm wanting to see if i can change it over the thanksgiving break since i'm always busy otherwise. But...i'm not sure how to do it. So...thats where help comes in.
Valve Cover Gasket - 6G Celicas Forums
Its real easy. Pop off the valve cover, you do this by removing the 4 nuts that sit in the recess where the spark plug wires sit. Then pull off the cover, a slight smack with a mallet should work fine. Clean you mating surfaces, slap a new gasket on, and use rtv (or fipg...depending on who you ask) on the humps (you'll see what I mean). Put valve cover back on and torque the nuts. Also there is a spark plug grommet, make sure the tabs (or arrows) are pointing towards the alt. Not sure why though.....
Also do a search, as Im sure almost everyone has had to do this at one point or another. G/L.
