Topic #6326 2 posts Started by afroman
as i read i see that people talk about FMUs and i am not sure what they r i know they deal with the feal delivery of system in some way at leat i think thats what they r for. i am just curious i see it mostly with tubo topics my friend and i are building a 90 eclipse turbo so i am gathering info that we r going to need thanks for the help
FMU-Fuel management unit

technical name

Rising rate fuel pressure regulator

as the manifold pressure increases, the FMU increases the fuel pressure by a calibrated ratio.

the FMU i have in my turbo setup is a 12:1, 12psi more fuel for every 1 psi of boost. right now im running really really rich. gotta lean it out for more power and better mpg, although 22mpg isnt bad.

and if your friends eclipse is already a turbo, you dont need the fmu.
