yeah that does look wierd, My 98 GT has someting Like that Under the Intake piping between the filter box and the Manifold, a long as its doing its job and not causing any problems i guess just let it be
Ah, its just a resonator? To dampening the voice of the vaccum?
Because, I am planning to install a short ram intake, and to do that, this whole plastic/rubber pipe with this thing must go off.

I think that little box is just that...a resonator...or maybe a little box to collect water from the intake moisture.

That was my first mod ever. The same day I got my car, I removed the stock airbox and slapped on a $20 cone filter with a short aluminum pipe. I left the IAT sensor dangling. Oh the ignorance.

Not me. Ive had my car for about a year and a half and i know my 7a is capable of nothing else but what its got.A drop in filter (thanks Death) and thats it for this monster till i swap. an intake on this thing....thats funny.

I threw the Ebay special SRI on my GT lol. It really didn't do much for it but make it sound AWESOME. Granted, my car is still slow as balls, but it sounds BA enough to scare all the Civic guys off (except the ones who actually know what they are talking about and get swaps. Those guys suck -_- ). But the point is, the sound alone was worth my $30.
