im tired of how shlow my celica is whats the best way to make my celica faster with not so much money?
Unless you do an engine swap or turbo, there isn't anything that will make a really big difference.

"A true car enthusiast can see the potential in any car"QUOTE (njccmd2002 @ Oct 3, 2008 - 2:01 PM)i rather be a slow turtle in risk of extinction, than a fast locust, that you can see everywhere and need to be terminated.
premium gasoline, pod filter, cannon muffler, a well designed cold air intake, ngk iridium spark plugs, oil blowby catch can, intake manifold flush (use carby cleaner) and polish (fine sandpaper/dremmel).

all the newbie DIYs, cheap and easy stuff. use the search feature on this stuff, 6gc's info pages have some stuff too.

Sadly, the only thing that could show any real improvement here is the intake. Premium gas does nothing if the computer isn't tuned to utilize it.......a cannon muffler really does nothing if you don't open up the restrictive exhaust ahead of it..........spark pugs do NOT gain you HP (if your old ones are shot you can recover HP, but you won't gain anything).........a catch can helps prevent detonation if you're getting excessive oil through the PCV but that's about it...........intake manifold flush, that's just going to clean it out.

Like was said before, unless you can do a turbo motor swap or a custom turbo setup, you really won't see anything that noticable.

Now, if you can't afford the above, about the best you're going to get is with a well designed CAI as stated above, in conjunction with a header and full length exhaust. That's enough to make a noticable difference, but it's still not going to be that quick.
Since he's got fk all cash he shouldn't bother with the exhaust because he'll be driving the car for months with no mods trying to save up for 1 mod.
