Yet another franchise that doesn't know when to give up - I think the Horror movie genre is dead and gone - has been for 10-15yrs

So my ex decided we were going to see SAW V....i said fine gotta do 1-4 first so i know wtf is going on......

the acting is crapola.....there is ZERO horror to this movie....but the plots are twisted

thank goodness i'm getting to see SAW V for free.

and you dont have to see 1-IV first... they dont really relate. You can pickup any of them and it's good on it's own. Just konw that there is a badguy and that's enough to pick up any number.

And if you haven't figured out there is a bad guy in the movie then i dont know what to say

barely. You can pick up any saw movie and enjoy it w/o seeing any other.

I saw part two before i saw part one and i loved it. Then when i saw part two again, i realised the irony of the bathroom, then when seeing the third, it was the same irony of jigsaws house/lair or w/e. It's insane how it seams that over the corse of the movies, you realize that they are part of an even bigger mysterious plot. That's why i cant wait to see 5.

and yea 1-4 relate..I've watched 1/2 already and there are some overlaps, which while not being key to the plot are things nice to know.

Yea Death..I think so many of the horror movies are not great anymore but I really love the Saw series...When I enjoy something so much I always want more..But I think it seems these movies are either you love or hate them...or ppl are to scared to see them for some reason...

Tomorrow this time Ill be getting read for dinner then seeing it so I won't post anything to give the movie away..I wouldn't wanna ruin it for anyone...I am sure there will be some sick twists...I always try to figure them out but with Saw I feel like I never can.

Personally I cant stand these movies. to much gore for me. they are to sadistic for me.

Ive seen One and 2 and that was more than enough for me (The gf made me :S). She likes that sort of thing. its a little scary.

if your into Saw and enjoy the series its worth it...you are watching kinda the same things...torture..you do get a better understanding of saw iv but i still have things i need to figure out...nothing really made me go wooow i didn't expect that this time around...soo unless you really enjoy the series and love the nasty things they do you could prob rent it.

Although I Jim loved it....not that I didn't...i really did I just was hoping for a little more. I really wanna sleep on it though and see what I think in the am...night all

For those of you that saw the movie I have some questions...I am going to type it down below please dont read this if you don't want anything ruined for you




My questions about saw

I think we need to find out most of these answer in saw 6 but what do you think...

#1 do you think there has to be more with the 5 ppl in the room...Jigsaw gave hoffman the one last game for him to set up for him..he said you won't understand now but when its over you will understand...It had to of been about those 5 ppl and not Agent Strahm bc he was suppose to be dead. I think it is more then just they were all involved in the 8 ppl that died in the building..bc why was it so important for him to do...he wanted it done as a reason.

#2 Hoffman gets that letter.(it reminded me of I know what you did last summer) and it says "I know who you are"..Agent Strahm was in the hospital and didnt figure out hoffman was involved at that point so I dont think it was him...maybe it was but I think there is someone else that knows Hoffman took over.

#3 What do you think was in that box Jigsaw left for his wife? It must be something good bc all of a sudden she helps Hoffman set Agent Strahm up. How could the box have anything to do with Agent Strahm though? Agent Strahm was really suppose to be dead...Jigsaw would have never known he actually made it out alive...so is something going on with Jigsaws wife and Hoffman or does what ever is in the box say she should help Hoffman..I dont no.

#4 do you think that little girl will come back into the story like hoffman will adopt her and one day she will grow to be the new jigsaw?

#5..ok so I dont see any really big twist..ok so Agent Strahm found out who the new jigsaw was and the he dies..ok you can kinda guess that..and the with the 5 ppl in the room i realized they should have worked together form the beginning..that was no big twist.. they were just stupid.

i have a few ideas but they could be wrong

#2 possibly hoffman got it from jigsaw. im thinking from that person that handled his will and gave the box to the ex wife also sent the letter but probably requested not to hand it directly but to make it discreetly handed over.

your #3 about what was in the box was probably evidence pointing to incriminate hoffman. remember how earlier when jigsaw caught him imitating to kill that first guy and said if he dies, he has evidence explaining how it was him and that it will take down the whole police department? the next thing she did was go to that boss guy and said she thinks theres an insider.

#4 no but theres always a chance. thats thinking way too far into the future. shes way too young.

#5 there were a TON of twists but you had to have remembered the earlier movies. the major twist was that hoffman was working with jigsaw since the house entrapment(saw 2 i believe) because it shows him setting up the door with the gun. Through all this time you were led to believe that amanda helped because she was actually the insider and faked freaking out at the beginning of that movie but she actually didnt know she was going to be playing that game. and you never actually find out hoffmans character till the 4th movie.

Also amanda didnt know about hoffman but hoffman knew about amanda. she thought she was jigsaws only apprentice. hoffman left right before amanda wheeled the doctor into the "operating room" of saw 3.

jigsaw was intermingling his games by getting help by BOTH apprentices. all of the help in the first was by amanda you find out in the second movie. the second was by hoffman (you dont find out til the 5th movie) except at the end when amanda traps the cop in the bathroom, the third was mostly set up by amanda, fourth and fifth by hoffman

Saw Saw yesterday after I struck out with the waitress. It was an 11PM showing, about 10 people there, all couples except me

What's crazy about the Saw movies is their ability to forecast, plan, and interlink each movie together. It's almost as if the audience is seeing pieces of a jigsaw puzzle being put together...

Anyways, quick question:

Which of the 5 Saw movies did NOT feature a device with a saw?
