Splitters or lip? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #62833 14 posts Started by 96bluevert
Need your guys' opinions once again. We all know the Tom's lip looks good, but how do you all think it looks as splitters?

I'm kind of liking it, but I'm still on the fence about it.

I'm thinking my options are:
a. keep them as they are, just paint and put them on
b. do some fiberglass work to make them narrower on the front tips, similar to the SS-III splitters (hope that makes sense)
c. fiberglass the two side pieces to the center and have it be a lip again, like it was originally.

If anything, dont do option A. It would look unfinished.
I say go for splitters!! gets boring seeing the same stuff... miss all the custom projects..

Well it looks like it was cut (which it was smile.gif ). Plus that's only one of them, didn't try getting the other side on to see how they both would look together.

edit, yeah Jaws that's what I was thinking, it is more original than having it as a lip.

to make them as splitters, should not be that bad. I myself got one of these lips, but im not liking it too much. Prefer the TRD Look.

I'm just thinking about how I might go about the modded splitter idea though.

well if i had a cut set. i would mend it back together and then start cutting away at the middle section. and slowly find a good blending point. i had a drawing somewhere on my photobucket but i cant find it kindasad.gif

i say originality! i choose splitters with the little touch up so it won't look "unfinished"

If you find that, send it me way biggrin.gif.. If I get a chance I might be able to do a photoshop to see if I can't get an idea of how I want these to look.
