st185 3sgte auto repair manual? - 6G Celicas Forums

Does anyone know where i can find a st185 3sgte 91-93 repair manual? or anything slightly related to that topic?

If it has been asked before.. point me in the direction (i used search, but no luck)

i have a chilton's manual for a st185 celica, picked it up at CAP im sure NAPA or something has them.

I had a look and I don't have the manual on my computer, but I think I had it and it was a very large PDF which I had downloaded on my computer. It is floating around in internet land somewhere.

Alternatively, you can subscribe to TIS at https://techinfo.toyota.com : Daily $10 US Monthly $50 US Yearly $350 US . That allows you to get onto the technical info database and search for whatever you feel like. Suggest that a yearly subscription is best. My subscription expired 5 years ago. Does anyone have a password for this site?

Thanks for all the input. Since i started the search, i have bought the "Chiltons" manual number 68252. It is a life saver.. to say the least.

So it's confirmed that's a good number? Cause I've had my local Autozone order me one 3 times so far and every time they have gotten me the one for FWD only vehicles altho every time I have specified the AWD/Turbo manual. Thanks man - good info.

This is confirmed for the 2nd gen 3sgte st185 motor and drive train. This book does contain N/A models, different specs (euro, jap, us) as well as turbo application and wiring diagrams for all.

Thanks man - If I give them that P/N they will make me buy it unlike every time they screw up and order the wrong one for me. Cool - ordering now biggrin.gif

the Toyota BGB's are really much better than Chilton's/Hayne's.
if you search ebay enough they can be had for a decent price, just takes awhile.
i got all 3 volumes that i have for under $50 total

fyi, if you get the Alltrac only supplement it has only the parts that make the Alltrac unique primarily focusing on the drivetrain & turbo - you are much better off getting the 90-93 Celica BGB Vol. that focuses on the entire Engine(s) 4afe, 5sfe & 3sgte (can't remember if it's Vol.1 or Vol.2 right now too tired)

Yes the BGB manuals are great! This is what I was able to download from internet land for free. Go BGB.

I know I have that too in electronic copy and for me I think I just want that supplement you are talking about - LMK when you see one of those and what the P/N is so I can get one of those too.
The Chilton's is for quick reference stuff and besides - Chilton's has awalys had enough info for me to intuit the rest. wink.gif

i'm pretty sure you can still order the supplement from Toyota Publications - I think we ordered the wiring diagram thru them - i can't remember.
wiring diagrams are invaluable & a lot of people overlook that unfortunately.
if i see a decently priced supplement i'll send it your way. smile.gif

I've got a veritable cornucopia (yeah that's right, I said it) of BGBs. Unfortunately my site host broke up w/me so I don't have them for DL, but I can always send an email if someone's desperate. PM me if you want.

Haha, If i remember correctly, I do believe that this manual is the heaviest "Chiltons" manual lol.

I'm looking around for where to get me a manual for my st185, I found this auto repair manual at automd site.
