My question is: can you install it without the hood? Will it fit? I'd eventually like to do the hood and bumper, but like, I'm poor, so if I could do the bumper for now, that would be great.

you could, but there will be a gap where the GT4 bumper meets the stock hood. The GT4 hood has a raised center section that matches the GT4 hood, the stock US hoods don't have that raised center section. Save your money and get both...
