Topic #61260 430 posts Started by GotToyota
yeah thats cool, i dont care where we go what we do, i just cant wait to see alot of celicas lol. sorry GOOD looking celicas, i wish mine looked good frown.gif
Well, im checking out this route that runs from Crawford park (cedar hills), north to mansfield rd (looks like it runs right next to the water), south on lake ridge parkway (over the lake) then east on mansfield/ w belt line, towards "Plaza at Cedar Hill". All in all, about an 18 mile drive. So its not too long, and should be scenic (i think). I'll check it out in the morning as im off tomorrow and get back with you guys. But cedar hill isnt too far from 20/35. So it shouldnt be that much more out of the way for anyone.
I get off of work on saturday.. what time do want to meet up at a spot?

^_^
Probly around 3, meet up take a half-45 min drive, grab a bite, then head out. I'll have the location tomorrow after I go and scout it.
yeah and get like an address to where we meet i dont wanna get lost or get left behind lol
ima make it got weekends off (evil Laugh)
awww dammit.. I mean I get off work at 5 on saturday.. where would you guys be at by that time?

^_^
OK, so I just got back from looking at the area....Not too bad, a little construction and I saw about 5 police in the half an hour I was driving it.

I was thinking of meeting up at Parkhill Park for one of two reasons. One, its location to 20 (its pretty close), and two, meeting at the Plaza; most of us will have driven half of the run at that point.
So here we go:
Coming from Fort Worth/Arlington region---->Take 20E to exit 454 (Great SW Parkway), Turn left on Bardin Rd (First intersection), Turn Right on Robinson Rd, Trun left on Nadine Ln/Hanger. Arrive at Parkhill Park. Im going to park as far North as possible (thats left once you arrive)
Coming from Dallas Region---->Take 20W to exit 456 (Carrier Parkway, South), Right on Bardin, Left on Robinson, Left on Nadine/Hanger.

After we all meet up and do whatever it is that we do we'll take that little drive as suggested by ZF!
So here that is:
Left on Robinson, Left on W Camp Wisdom, Right on Belt Line Drive (Farm to Market 1382), Slight right onto E Beltline Rd (Its just after "The Plaza at Cedar Hill), Follow that (which turns into W Beltline Rd/Mansfield Hwy/Lakeridge Pkwy). From there you can make a slight right to get onto Great SW Pkwy (which will take you to 20). Myself, Im going to follow Lakeridge to W Polo, which turns into Bardin road and hit Great SW Pkwy. And if I have some time, any of the DFW guys wanna get lost with me, Im going to try to take some Farm Roads back home. Passin close to Alverado, Crowley, then up north on 377.

I'll post some google map images for you guys later when I get done stripping my car. And considering that this should be between 1500-1700 we can stop and grab a bite to eat at the "Plaza", but thats up to you guys. So if you people want to do this, let me know who is possibly going to attend. And as always, if you have any suggestions, throw them up here.

BTW, I talked to Kyle. Hes going to be here for a while in Dec. Those of us who know him (thats pretty much two of us now), should set something up so he can make another meet. Just something to think about.

OK the map of the Route:

well like i said i dont care where we go, what i suggested has 4 lanes and a nice scenic route lol
No, its nice, really. Kinda reminds me of somewhere other than Texas. And like I said, suggestions are always welcome.
Hmm looks like a nice drive for sure. I'm always down for whatever so long as I don't get lost in the process lmao
So, two days from now. Drake what time you get off work? And im sure that you wont get lost.

Well, I was thinking about that. Since some people here are working a bit late that day. Id say meet around 430ish (I'll be there a bit earlier than that) at Parkhill Park, hangout for a second, leave sometime around 5-30ish....depends on how long it takes everyone to gather. Make the drive (that should be about 30 min or so) and cool down for a sec or two then bail. So should be wrapping up around 6-630. And it should just start to be getting dark at that time anyhow.
oh dang i wish we could meet up earlier im free all day, but i was gonna bring my gf she gets off her first job at 2 then goes in at 5 for her other one.
I still hope I can get out tomorrow. I may end up being screwed out of meeting up. I'll text you josh if that happens kindasad.gif

>so you'll be there about 4 spider?

Going to try to be there between 4-415. Its going to depend on traffic and all that good stuff.
well i'll try to meet you there about 4:15 whats your name btw
Josh. Myself, Drake (hazmat) and Dillon (akirad1) should all be rolling together.
yeah so like you said we should plan it like 3 months in advance and try to get a bunch of ppl it was awesome tho with us 4 ha ha getting seperated tho thats no fun
Sounds easy to plan in advance, yet it fails alot so it seems. But yeah was a good meet. Definitely minus the getting caught up in traffic part and not to mention the " Hows my driving " lady. God that was so frickin stupid. Thank god for awesome brakes...nuff said
