for those of you who don't know, i blew 2nd gear out of the s54 a while ago. just got around to taking the engine out of the bay and getting ready to swap it in the mr2 now.
so i figured id post pics of the carnage.




once i pulled the axles i knew is wasn't going to be good.

You should probably add the disclaimer that you had over 380 crank hp, and the trans had close to 200k on it.
I would hate for people to start flaming the s54 again.

indeed. no need to flame the s54, it took alot of abuse and 8k redlines.

You gonna break that E-153 faster than you did that S54 with that attitude my friend They're tough but when all the weight of the vehicle [not much sure but...] squats down on that tranny/axles and you got 380-400HP pushing back from the other way they're not that fcukin tough. Remember - kill your clutch - not the tranny
Just given you sh*t MR"I Break Things" - I remember years ago when you said you were gonna see how far the S54 would last and at what abuse you could throw at it I thought to myself "well I've already helped with the E153 swap and the custom rear mount was a PITA I really don't wanna go through again - lemme see what this man's results are". I never thought it'd make it this far through so much.
You deserve a big S54 Winner's Cup so you can fill it with all those broken teeth

I love the celica. its my first love, but like all relationships its time to move on.

The mr2 understands my needs and desires, and isn't afraid to get a little freaky

The celica was a nice trophy car but all she did was spin tire when I wanted to go fast, she was getting a bit loose also in the suspension area.
