WTB: Hatchback Luggage Cover Rests - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #60808 7 posts Started by jophish
I'm looking for the passenger side luggage cover rest/hinge in black. When i bought my car it only came with the driver's side one and it's been extremely inconvenient ever since. Any help would be awesome since the dealership wants an arm and a leg for a tiny part.

i've been looking for these forever too. nobody seems to have them haha
thanks...where can i order them that cheap? the dealership here wants 20 bucks for one
a cheap place to get them would be 1sttoyotaparts.com but after shipping it might be about the same price.

Call me a traitor! See if I care. ;)
never even knew I was missing those until today when the rod snapped. Looks like the previous owner lost them and just crammed the cover in the slots where those things are suppposed to go. Time to order and repair the rod.
On the topic of the "Package Shelf".... Just curious but has anyone else noticed that it doesn't quite fit correctly?

Where the ends of the rod (the piece you were looking for) goes into the interior trim (driver and passenger sides) when it is lifted up it wrecks the hinge hole because the shape of the package shelf catches on the interior trim.

I ended up doing some "alterations" (read as cutting) sections of the "Package Shelf" so it would open freely and not catch on the interior trip pieces, therefore not putting stress on the holes.

I trimmed where the arrows are, took off about 1/2 an inch depth, and about 1 inch length.

Now it opens fine without "stressing" the interior trim holes and causing them to crack.

Just curious.
