FS: 94 Celica GT w/ blown engine *LOWERED PRICE* - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #60346 26 posts Started by gt_driFFter
Up for sale is my white 1994 Celica GT. It has developed severe rod knock and will need a new engine. I was going to swap another one in myself but I just do not have the time, patience, or the garage space. The car has 279,000 miles on it and was used as my daily driver for 4 years, right up until the motor blew.

Mechanical:
Needs:
- Engine
- Driver front wheel bearing
- tires
Has new:
- driver axle
- distributor
- tps
- plugs/wires
- front brakes
- ~80k mile transmission

Exterior:
The front driver fender has a couple large dents in it. Other than that, the body is in GREAT shape, original paint, and only has very minor dings that occurred along 279k miles. This (with the exception of the fender) is in better shape physically than the 98 celica GT I just bought with 90k miles. I always get comments about how great the body still looks. There is a white fender located at Brimms Salvage Yard, if you are looking to replace it. I think they want ~$100 for it. The car is also tinted 20% all the way around.

Interior:
The interior is also in great shape. The driver seat does have the typical rip on the side, but other than that, it is very very nice. The trim pieces are painted silver, and have minor areas of wear (mainly where the keys dangle while in the ignition). Also the plastic around the shifter is broken in have, but it's only visible because it's silver. The trunk has RCA's and an amp-turnon wire already professionally installed, just need power and ground for the amp.

I also have a low mileage (60-80k) 5sfe that has sat outside for about a year. I can't see how this would have affected the internals since the engine is sealed, and you could swap most ,if not all, external parts (alternator, ac compressor, distributor, etc.) from the current engine, over to this one. The buyer will get this spare engine with the car for no extra cost.

I am >>located>> in Dayton, Ohio. >>Asking price>> is >>$1000>> Firm. Please do not low ball me, I am not considering low ball offers as I already have another mode of transportation, and I really feel this is a good price for this car.

If you would like to call me, PM me your number and I will give you a call.

Thanks,
Josh

GREAT looking car, the paint has a nice radiance to it.

And oddly enough, you have the same small dent above the turn signal that I have. Just not the larger one though...
Thanks for the compliment! I received compliments all the time about how great of shape the car is in. As I said before, it looks better exterior-wise than my 98 with less than 100k miles!
Jeez........if I had the money I'd be all over this. That car is BEAUTIFUL.......and would make a great swap candidate. If you still have it in a few days I may try to work something out. For the money with a new(ish) motor included.......this is almost a can't pass up deal.
For those of you with the 2008 celica calender, does March look a little familiar? wink.gif

Funny how much a set of wheels can change a car....

My buddy and I are going to pass. If you were closer, but we ran the numbers and we'd invest too much into the purchase and transportation of the car to make it worth it. Thanks for the pics though.
fastbird, I'm also in illinois and im curious what kind of figures you were running? you plan on renting something to haul it on, or just gas or what? not tryin to be nosey, i just am also interested in the vehicle and i got it roughly planned... gas was gonna be my big issue... please let me know, either on here or PM me... thanks
