hey i was wondering is there any diffrence on the 7afe from 94 to 97 ?

I do not know how US 7AFEs but Euro ones are a bit different. I remember when I wanted to buy thermostat there was difference between them. What I know older 7AFEs has some parts shared with JDM 3SFE.

96+ also has...
an EGR
Lower Redline
smaller powerband
5 less hp
slightly less torque
Sequential EFI
a crankshaft position sensor
another O2 sensor after the cat

the 94-95 Celica's have an EGR too. I've seen a prizm that didn't, but the Toyota 7A's have an EGR.

The cars are so slow, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference in a blind test, LOL.

at least our 7As run tongue.gif yea 94-95 have more power biggrin.gif

BANNED. for life, you moron.
My EGR is throwing codes for about the 4th time. Guess I should get out the carb cleaner and give it another good scrub. Stupid thing. : \

My EGR caused my old nissan to idle really rough and so i took a piece of sheet metal and plugged it. Worked great for a long time.

whether or not the 93-95 7afe's have an EGR is a bit of a crapshoot. the cali spec emissions do, as well as a precat. fed spec lacks both. after 96 i believe they ALL have an EGR regardless since i think they all follow the same emissions spec. i didnt mean to imply that all 94-95 7afes dont have EGR.
