WTB: Celica Hatchback - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #60186 27 posts Started by Coomer
The time has come for me...I want to get back into a Celica and build something awesome. biggrin.gif

I'm looking for a sixth gen. Celica with the following qualities:

  • Must be a hatchback
  • Must be a stick
  • Running or not running
  • Body must be in good general shape (no major damage, no rust, decent paint)
  • Preferably a ST
  • Cheap

Let me know if you're getting rid of a Celica or know of one that fits these requirements. smile.gif I'd be willing to trade my '91 Sentra SE-R (60k-mile SR20, suspension mods, etc.) for a sixth gen. Celica, maybe plus some cash on my part.

New Toyota project coming soon...
here's what i could find locally

craigslist

hope you are able to find what you're lookin for

Call me a traitor! See if I care. ;)
Wow, this is awesome!! Which I am sure will be repeated many times after me, but maybe said slightly differently. As the site owner, and legendary owner of the "yelli celli", this should be exciting. I am sure you will have no problem finding one, since there are a lot of STs out there, and you are not too picky about the condition.

I think you getting back in the game is good for the site and will encourage current owners to increase loyalty to their cars.

Can't wait! wink.gif
I agree with Celicav. Good stuff, Chris. Crossing fingers so you get a good one at a great price. biggrin.gif

Sentra just isn't cutting it huh? lol jk... Good to see you're trying to come back to the Celica scene. Keep checking Craigslist, I see some good ones on there every once in a while.

a good project car:(not sure if it's a GT or ST)

There's also one I've seen recently w/ a 404 body kit, but it was like $5k, so I'm not sure if that falls into you're "cheap" range. But it looks really nice biggrin.gif

Bump. Everything that's presented itself so far has been too expensive. I'm really looking for something cheap. Preferably a Celi in nice shape with a blown motor. wink.gif

I call dibs on whatever Coomer makes (if/when he decides to sell it) biggrin.gif

There's a couple down here in Portland on CL - Legit94 is looking at one of them (a red GT) but there's a silver ST coupe for sale pretty cheap down here - it's been posted for quite some time now too, my guess is there's something fairly wrong with it and you could talk him down

Sorry, it's a GT coupe, my mistake

Decent looking 5th gen ST

$500 5th gen

Crap, I can't find the CL ad, but PM stud97023, he's got a black I believe ST manual he's been trying to sell for some time now. He might very well be open to trade, IDK. I know he needs tuition $ though, but IIRC he's not asking too much for his car. He's down here in the Portland area too.
Coomer, you should make EVERYONE on the site pay you $5 to be here... then with that money you should go buy the Yelli Celi back.

I don't normally drive fast, but when I do its on a curvy section of this island
hey coomer i have a 95 black celica st model i just had the car painted like 2months ago no rust no major dents this car is really mint looking it just has a blown motor but i try to swap in a 4agze but it didnt work out because i was short on money so im gonna sell the car it will also come with the 4agze engine im selling for $3500 if you interested i could take pics and sent it to you
Hey guys,
At this point, I'm no longer in the market for a sixth gen. kindasad.gif

I sold the SE-R, am parting out the Sol, and bought something else and I'm currently working on that a little bit. And I'm contemplating buying a house/property over here, so I'm beginning to save some money.

But maybe someday...thanks for all the offers! biggrin.gif

New Toyota project coming soon...
so is this completed? why isn't it locked? jk jk

I talked to the kid with the yelli celi apparently he is
down here in tc. he said he wanted to sell her but, I doubt you
would want to pay more than you got for a car in much worse
shape than when you sold it.

JDM guy made me do it.
Why the preference for an ST? Good luck with your searching.
