Just put new Gauges in! - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #59875 10 posts Started by Stambo
After putting my new gauge faces in my speedometer isnt calibrated. It says i'm goinog 37 at a stop. Is there anywhere to just fix it quickly or is this just going to take alot of trial and error?

pull the needle off, start the car, put the needle on before the pin, then pop it over. i had the same problem.

Still not gonna be exactly right but it'll be infinitly better than what you got right now. You'll need navigation and cruise control to truly calibrate it

or one of those driveby radar things cops put on the side of the road to tell you how fast you are going... and cruise control... that way you can set it to the cops radar biggrin.gif

Or the correct/intelligent way,

Go to a automotive shop that provides speedometer calibration services and have it done.

boy how much hp did it say on the box, your going 37 and dont even feel it.

get or borrow a gps, and set it on cruise. if not have somebady on a 2 lane hwy drive beside you at least. it all else fails, then do trial and error.

I got it pretty good now. Its about 4-5 mph off. Its better than it saying i'm going 80 and i'm really going 35...... The celi's going 37 at a stop its so fast!
