Bad coil - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #59220 5 posts Started by supra12big
Hi, i know the test for the coil from the bgb guide says the primary coil resistance should be between .41-.5, I got .7, and for the second coil if should be between 10-14, but i got 14.28, so basically does that resistance difference tell me its a bad coil?
Assuming you did it correctly, and use the right ranges, yes [barely]. smile.gif

If you're car's running fine, don't worry about it.
If you have ignition problems, I'd replace it.
ya i am having iginition problems, thanks i am gonna replace it
MSD Blaster II is a cheap and good way to replace your coil. I'm not saying it's much of an upgrade but just much cheaper than stock and it's only like two connections to make and they are retarded easy. Make sure you get the one with the spare connectors for the coil wire so that you can adapt your existing coil wire. wink.gif
