5sfe - engine advice needed - 6G Celicas Forums

I want to pick up a reman'd 5SFE engine for 5gc (91 gt vert) b/c this will be my daily driver. I want the gas mileage more than the power.

Can anyone recommend reputable site which sells reman'd / rebuilt engines (5SFE engine)?

One quick question: if I went with 3SGE, does that require premium fuel or will it run fine with regular octane fuel?

3sfe will get better econo than your 5s or 3sge

but less power. about 125 maybe?

I'm sure the 3sge redtop you will need to use premium gas because its a performance motor. THe only places I've seen reman 5sfe's is from ebay.
