Trouble holding idle - 6G Celicas Forums

Hi 6gcers,

I need some advice regarding my car.
Tonight it had trouble keep idle. It will just die if I don't give it gas.
A friend suspect its the fuel filter but I'm unsure kindasad.gif
Have anyone else ever experience this?

Its a 95 5SFE with 150kkms.

it could be in the fuel line, unless there is some kind of mechanical defect with the block itself (leaking compression)

This could be a fuel filter (doubt it) it could also be the first stages of a fuel pump going out. but there are several other things that could be causing it as well...

but if' it's the fuel pump, you really wont know till it dies. IDK... wait a few minitues, better mechanics will be on here soon to help ya more than i can biggrin.gif
