So my 97 1.8l has 203,453 miles on it and is burning alot of oil i want ti fix it but i dont just want to tear the motor down just to build it up with stock parts thats just crazy talk!! so i either want to have Doc tweak help me with a swap or build up my 7afe a lil bit i know the swap will give me way more of a gain but i am looking at cost. the doc said the swap will be around 7,000 all labor and parts (for a 3sgte) but if i do a 4age silver top or something small i think i can do it all with his help for way less but if i rebuild the 7afe ill only be spending 2000 tops and have 120-135WHP and a brand new motor so i am stuck on what to do.... let me know what you guys think

from what i read, silvertops are 800 bucks.... parts are plenty.

Yeah, i woudl rather buy a already rebuild engine since they are cheaper or a used with less miles.
