Just Finished Custom Strut Bars - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #5785 13 posts Started by Striking4
I didn't have the money to buy some strut bars right now but I really wanted them. So, I decided to try my hand at making some of my own. They feel great and the handling is much improved. Here are a few pics.

Would you be intrested in selling some. If so how much, I got first order.
Probably not. They took forever to get the fine tuning on and I wouldn't dare try to sell some and hope that they fit exactly right.
Looks good, congrats.

for the bar down the middle what did you use hallow or solid? size?
YOU shaved your side markers... >smile.gif>
Yes the markers are shaved. I liked the look without them. For the cross bar I used 3/4 in hollow square tubing. It is really strong and only cost about $14 at Lowe's Home Improvement.
Nice man, nice... But wash your engine sometimes >biggrin.gif>

nice work! >wink.gif>
big apreciation for the lack of side markers!
Yeah I know it is filthy. I need to have it detailed. BUT, in my defense, I have been gone with the military for the last six months and my baby has been at home with my brother. So that helps explain why she is so dirty. I have only been back for four days and haven't had a chance to take care of it.
