Alright guys got some mods done on the car. I used your guys' opinion on doing some painting i do like the look. I added the clear "euro" style side markers and blinkers, plus added some blue interior lights in the trunk and rear speaker compartment. Since some of asked for some pics here they are. but keep in mind i live in colorado where its 70 degrees one day and snowing the next. so my car is not the cleanest it could be. let me know what you think! still got some engine bay painting to do.

looks like u have been busy. looks good. i couldnt think of any last minute things other than painting the rims black or sumthin. other than that make sure the car is fully detailed

Yeah i actually just used some dash paint that i got at auto zone for like 5 bucks. and i got the blinkers and side markers from ebay actually. they still might have some for sale. being from ebay i was a little worried because i like to see them in person before i buy them but i was very impressed with the quality of it. but i'll definately make sure to get it all detailed for the show. haha and i'll try and get some close ups of the dash up like tomorrow or soon for you guys.

Looks good! i like the blue lights in the trunk, nice accent. Now you just need FLOOR-MATTS!! to make the color blend. Good luck with your show. Remember to take stink bombs, chalk, and varrious other hide-able defacing items with you, so when somebody shows up in "Daddy's Vette", you'll know what to do

Sidenote - Where did you get those seat covers and do they come in red? I need some for a temporary fix until I get around to doing the interior restoration.

BTW - If you still have tme before the show I'd take some time to hide the amp and stealth the sub a bit. It's not the biggest, meanest system likely to be there but with some stealth you could make it stand out from the rest of the bare box in trunk guys

Hey thanks guys. I was definately going to paint the wood on the amp rack but what should i do to stealth the rest? and to let you know, they are seat covers that i got at advanced auto parts and i did see some in red while i was there so i dont know if you could find those same ones but i'm pretty happy with them. i appreciate all the compliments and i'll keep you posted on some more stuff that i might do.

since you dont have too much time, you should make a quick box (out of whatever you got cardboard, plastic, etc) and cut it so that there is a window where you can make your own window with a clear/frosted plastic. find some black fabric to cover the box with and just make a lil casing like that for now until you can fab another one. maybe add some lightage to the amp as well as the woofer good work man, looks pretty nice

oh, and use the same fabric to wrap the woofer, just remove the grill and cut it accordingly and then place the grill back on

Don't use Armor All on anything interior-wise. Meguire's makes a great interior spray that comes in a red bottle. It's specifically made for vinyl and plastic. Use that. Armor All should be only used for tires at best.

If i did it again, i would probably do silver or grey in the interior.haha but i chose blue strictly because that was my lighting scheme and it fit. but hey i'm pretty happy with it. And the car show got pushed back to May 8th so i'll let you know how it goes. But for some more updates, i bought some used 17" rims (so much for my $100 budget lol) and took some close up pictures for those of you who wanted them. So here is some more. Let me know what you think. and i'll keep that Meguire stuff in mind when i go to clean it.

Why didn't you take out/ tape off your clock when you painted the dash? The overspray looks horrible.

Not shy on that comment.lol but i did tape it off but as i was spraying the buttons on the clock caused the taped to pop up allowing some of the spray to get under it. And yeah i was a little pissed when i first saw it but then i didn't care. i'm not a proffesional, i understand that and this was the first time i'd done anything of the sort. and really the pic looks alot worse than it is. it turned out suprisingly even giving it a "unique" look, if you want to call it that. i've come to terms with it and it really doesn't bother me.

or, so you don't have to worry about overspray again, you can just remove the surround and then remove the clock altogether so you don't have to worry about spraying something else. it's a matter of 2 tabs holding the clock in. either way i think your car is coming together nicely. i like the rims. would like them better if they weren't chrome though. maybe spray them black but leave the lip chrome. that would look amazing. but then again, maybe you like the chrome. don't listen to me. it's your car

looks good!

id ditch the blue interior... but it gives it a nice custom look.

make sure you keep the wheels clean as chrome always looks really dirty from the slightest bit of dirt.

make sure you do up the tires. do them an hour or so before the car show so they dry all nice.

also do up the window trim etc with the tire shine too if you wish.

make sure to clean up the interior and leave a satin finish instead of gloss, looks alot better.

all in all looks very nice and im sure you are happy! and thats all that matters

^yeah thats really the only part i didn't do so well on but i like all the ideas. Its alot to get accomplished but i really do enjoy it so i appreciate all the support. Hopefully once i graduate here in a few weeks i'll be able to get some more done. I'll have my celica till it runs dead probably so i have time.haha
