I just was wondering if these performance chips will actually do anything for your performance or if anyone has one they like. I'm more just curious if there is any truth to this than really looking to get one. I have always just wondered if these work like the seller claims. but here is a link to one of them if your wondering what it is. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/35HP-PERFOR...1QQcmdZViewItem

its a pos. think about it... people spend thousands of dollars on swaps/turbo setups. or even just hundreds on exhaust and intake mods which don't even add 20 hp. no way a 2 dollar "chip" gonna give you 35 hp.
ss-iii splitters and 404 skirts areon. which means i need to update my sig.

It's a waste of money. But if you want you can send that cash my way
I'll send you any old piece of junk out of my garbage can and it'll function the same. like a banana peel. It works as well as a banana peel.
Save some money, install the banana peel.

Welcome indeed.
We're not being rude, we're being honest.
it's mentioned all over the site, but a good rule of thumb is "You get what you pay for" and we've got guys spending $2000+ (minimum) to bump 20 HP. How would $7.00 give you 35? lol.
Another thing, Electric turbo... Dont bother with it, it's also a piece of junk... there is no real compression in that thing. Just a heads up, most folks hate the mention of those around here; lol.

Hey dont hate on the turbonator I have 7 of them on my car... I kid I kid...
but seriously all these "performance chips" are is just a 99cent resistor from radio shack that is put inline with the sensor in your air box. All it does is trick the current load coming from your air box and tricks your ecu into dumping more fuel into the engine. The resistor changes the resistance in your sensor and make your sensor think you are at the conditions to where you would need more fuel... waste of money, waste of gas... spend the money you would have spent on this on a tank of gas...

when toyota designed the car, if they could've added 35 more hp and a 20% increase in fuel economy with a simple thing like this, I'm sure they would've engineered it into the car.
