Question for people who have done swaps... - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #5731 10 posts Started by XSTeknique
My swap is about half done, but I still have my 7afe motor, A/T tranny and ECU, what do I do with all of this? What's the best way to get some money for it instead of just tossing it? Any help is appreciated.
I kept my old motor, in case something really bad happened, and because my brother has the same motor in his MR2, so in case something broke i can just take the parts off. Its not going to be worth alot, u can always sell it to someone.

Are you doing this yourself or are u having someone else do it?

I'm planning on keeping my engine and tranny and ECU too. I wouldn't want to sell it, because the person who bought it would just have the same problems I have, and I wouldn't do that to someone.

New Toyota project coming soon...
Thanks guys, I should probably keep it. Gotta find someone with a pick up now. But like I said, the swap is about half way done by a shop here in Orlando. Hopefully it'll be done soon and I can share with everyone. Thanks again guys.
Once again, aren't you glad you kept your car?! >smile.gif>

i am awesome
You know what? I am because of the thought of my car being finished. But the suspense is killing me...oh yeah, that and the large amount of money I've put into this project. But overall, yeah...glad I kept the Celica. By far it's still my favorite car.
my engine is sitting at my cousins...the block is being sold to someone that's doing a 7AGE build in an AE86 coupe...um, the top-end...is gonna sit around i guess...iono...

Averaging out all the costs of the clip, labor and parts...it's about what everyone say it is...about 5-6k.
