Water leak - 6G Celicas Forums

Anyone have any idea what this pipe is?

My fathers Celica (same as mine SS-II 3SGE) had a water leak from here.

I have put a little red arrow in there to point out the area where the leak occured.

Any help would be appreciated!

Well by the looks of it, the part bolted to the engine houses the thermostat for the air conditioning or heater system.
So one would assume that the pipe goes to one or the other of the above.

it's an A/C line u will not get any water leaking from that if that is leaking it would be freon. if it is coolant look a little higher for a coolant leak. the water pump is just above the A/C compresser could be an o-ring or a bad water pump.

Its more than likely just condensation. that is the A/C compressor. not uncommon to see ice build up there.
