So, I decided the jl 1000/1 was way too big, and this made me look in the alpine direction. I'm very pleased with the sound quality of the type R components and subs I have so I went with an alpine amp now. Heard a lot of good things about it and it will save a lot of space as well... I'll keep you guys posted with how it sounds, I know it will put my current hifonics to shame since its so underrated. It's the pdx1000.1 model, heres some pics.

yea the JL is huge for the hatchback but you can even stack these amps... might get a 4 channel down the roading depending on how it sounds

very nice! 4x 25amp fusing means it can pump out 1400 watts at 14.5 volts! amazing for its size what lucky subs get this lil beautiful amp any ways?

Wow is all I have to say about this amp... It pushes my two Type R's with no problems at all. The bass is so crisp and overpowering with this amp... Only complaint is that it runs a little warm but I guess its expected for its size.

yea i paid about 430 for the amp... on another note, if anybody wants my old hifonics brutus 1200 mono amp let me know; its just sitting around now.

man i gotta say that i work at bestbuy and we sell those and i love those amps they are deff really nice and small and way under rated that was a great buy

Good choice on the amp! That is exactly what i will be getting the small one are fun cause you can put them every where, and you can stack the PDX's if you wanted to
