Pictures of Sherwood real carbon fiber dash? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #56320 25 posts Started by jjbenzo
It appears as if sherwood dash is of the highest quality dash kit maker out there. However, they have no pics of a real carbon fiber dash kit installed in a 94-99 Celica. Does anyone have pics of this kit they could post up here?

Thanks

Well I went ahead and ordered the Sherwood real carbon fiber dash kit sight unseen. All I could find were pics of fake/synthetic carbon fiber kits and no real c/f. Should arrive in the next week.

Yeah, I'm planning on getting a CF dash trim kit as well.
I did think about CF wrapping everything but that'll take time and work as I'll need the resin and then have to clear coat everything.
But do post up pics when u get everything installed to see how it comes out though.
I got mine a while ago, real silver carbon fiber; price was ($170.00 for 13 pieces) heres a pic-IPB Image
Hehe, how real is that silver? tongue.gif
Haha jk, i'm thinkin about goin with a more blacker CF.
And what's that thingy on your dash with the wire hangin out, you should rewire it through one of the vents in ur defroster in ur front windshield or go even further and drill a hole right through and hide it.

Yeah I had that same kit too, lol. But then I removed every part of the kit. But beware, do not use goo gone to take off the adhesive. It messes up the texture on the plastic panels and ended up I had to purchase a new set kindasad.gif
That doesn't look too bad.... Lookin on the site it was saying it's 8 pieces.

jjbenzo, post up some pics when you get in the peices and have em installed.

Anyone know where I can get some red carbon fiber pieces?

hey manphibian
does your car not have a/c or a rear defroster? i've never seen those buttons missing b4

the CF looks good though. kinda pricey for my liking though.
nvrmnd
your rear defroster button is just in a different location. i wonder why they would change it

Call me a traitor! See if I care. ;)
Rear defroster is on the right, top row.

AC - didn't want it, firstly it's always freezing cold here laugh.gif and secondly, it drains power and wastes fuel smile.gif

The kits look good, has anyone that's bought one of these, either sprayed them with a tinted clear coat? Ie. Clear with red or clear with blue? Just to accent. Just thinking it would look good imo.
Well I finally got around to installing the Shewood Real carbon fiber dash kit into the Celica. Here are some pics. The kit looks/fits perfectly.

automotivedashkit.com sells Sherwood brand dash kits. This is where I ordered mine. Could not be happier. The kit was made to order, so it took a few weeks, but well worth it. If you go to shewooddash.com you can see a diagram and all the different materials they come in. They do offer the fake carbon fiber looking trim as well, but in my opinion, it is def. worth spending the extra money to get the real thing. The kit uses 3M double sided tape...just like the OEM Toyota kits do.
