I'm curious as to what everyone elses' opinion on the new Knight Rider was after premiering earlier tonight.

imo, it was kind of dissapointing (not that I had high expectations to begin with). The story is just alright, too slow moving for my taste. The new KITT has already been discussed, so I wont go into that. At least they only had a slightly modified version of the theme song and not some chopped up crap. But what was with him backing out of a plane and the car all of a sudden changing? I mean is that supposed to be the new "pursuit" mode? I much rather watch reruns of the original than the new stuff. Might be because I grew up with and am a lot more used to the original, but the new one just doesn't live up the the name.

For those of you who have already seen it, what's your guys' takes on it?

There is a reason why 60s 70s 80s 90s tv shows belong to that era and should not be broadcast.. err remade.

back when macgyver was macgyver and hasslehoff was hasslehoff those shows made sence. They had a futuristic feel and background meaning to them. Now with our advances to technology there is no reason to make things simpler. People do not want to see it. People also do not want to see things that go overboard thats why you can find every single star trek spinoff not succeed in the long run because its too futuristic and been mentioned in like 90 movies.

back to hoff

dont hassle the hoff darn it.. let him retire and more importantly let kitt retire. in todays world filled with gps and onstar and blue tooth and voice command controls there is no reason to reinvent the wheel.

I'm going to go ahead and say I liked the show. Although, I only caught about the last half hour of it when KITT was ramming into the SUV and then stopped the SUV and everyone in the SUV was severly injured yet the old man managed to be alright from a collision that bad, with no airbag for him.

forkee is right, that girl isn't even good looking. Which is why I choose to watch Terminator, the Sarah Connor chronicles because it has better looking females in it. jk, but I actually did find that show rather interesting even though I only caught the first episode of it.

Anyways, back on topic. I didn't think the show was that bad, but I didn't pay attention to any of the storyline at all, and I never watched the original Knight Rider to begin with.

terminator: sarah connor chron's > knightrider.

well they are coming up with another indiana jones movie. but i think it will be a success because it looks well organized....only downfall is that indy looks 20 years older hahaha

and derrick dont even get me started with terminator. that chick was fine in the first episode when she smiled and laughed. now for some odd reason all she has is a blank stare that always makes her look retarded. its like...what the heck happened? ah well, it is a pretty good series. oh i found the remote to the car dvd player btw, lol.

Yeah and you're totally right. Summer Glau was cute in the first episode, but now she like, can't even have a conversation anymore or smile or laugh or anything. She's still highly attractive mhm.

I like what the one chick that does MTV news was saying like last summer "does Hollywood have ANY original ideas anymore?" Which is sort of true b/c there have been a lot of remakes and sequals these past few years. Most of them not that great either

The plane is a reference to the Team Knight Rider series from a few years back -- which also used a Mustang, among other Fords.

Logical upgrade from the trailer to a military transport plane which is in reality capable of landing on just about any decently long, semi-flat surface.
