Price check - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #55855 17 posts Started by AzNbOiFrM9i6
Sorry didn't know where to post this. How much will I be spending. I want to get : exhaust, headers, rims, Coilovers.
Exhuast (Catback) will run you about $150-$400 depending on the shop and muffler you go with.

Headers for a 5sfe are like $200ish

Rims can vary by a lot depending on brand and size. Then add in the price of tires.

Coilovers will cost you between $800-$1300

dam i wanna lower my car but it cost so frikken much
This is an expensive hobby.

If you want to lower it.. get some Teins for now. Don't buy all the stuff all at once. Get the springs first, save some money and then get the exhaust, then the headers, then the rims. wink.gif That way you can save up for the next mod you want for your car.

my opinion is if you are going to lower you car. go the extra mile and get a full coilover setup

^^^ that is if you have enough money.

i wouldn't recommend it for daily driving.. i'm on rsr gt4 springs on regular size tires and i already find it pretty bumpy.. i can imagine full coilovers being a lot harsher..
but then again, if you have really smooth roads and really nice weather (which i'm sure you do cuz you're in cali) and want the stiffer/lower setup for a track-type of performance, go for it.

I wouldn't. A full coilover system, such as Tein SS is a considerable increase in price than just some lowering springs.

Ground control coilovers + Koni yellows smile.gif
Or just go the cheapest way and get a body shop to cut the springs for you lol.
^ Very Bad Idea.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I might go with the tein Stech springs. Still deciding on the rest tho.
