st motor cost? - 6G Celicas Forums

my current motor has been running rough and has 200,xxx miles on it i was wonder how much a rebuilt motor would cost or should i just try and rebuild in my self? and were would i get parts for this motor? any ideas would be great thanks

Rebuilding it would probly run u from about $2000+ ... depends on the shop ...shouldnt be much more than like 2300 or 2400 tho ...if u want performance parts ....and at that rate u might as well juss buy 3sgte or sumthing... if u try doin it urself u'd probly have to get the parts str8 frum toyota n that might end up costing more ... i'd honestly just have a shop do it ...

Rebuild it yourself for ~$600 not including tools
Pay someone $1500-3000 to maybe do it right.
Use genuine toyota parts and you can't go wrong.
Used replacement (one that includes a guarantee) is the BEST bet IMO and would cost around 400-600 dollars.
