WTB// 3rd Gen 3SGTE upper and lower Oil pan. ASAP!! - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #55732 7 posts Started by Axel04
I'm looking for a 3rd gen 3sgte upper and lower oil pan because my passenger side axle came apart from the carrier bearing and beat up against my upper oil pan right were it meets the lower oil pan and took a chunk out of it. If someone could help me I would really appreciate it. Or even I'll bye the entire block. I will pay cash or I also will trade one of the two 5sfe trannys for the two oil pans.
There aren't too many people with 3rd gen parts here on 6GC.

Best bet is to go to MR2OC.com, they part out 3rd gen motors on occasion and you could probably find it there by posting a WTB ad.

Why did your axle fail?

3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting.
Gen III Part Out

He's only wanting $100 for both upper and lower oil pans.

I take it your the the guy Chad (7g GT-S, 5G Alltrac) was talking about. He said you were blowing your S54 trannys and needed an E153 tranny, probably find one there too.

The shaft between the carrier bearing and the cv joint was like a half inch short causing the shaft from the carrier bearing side to pull apart when making a left turn and beat against were the upper and lower oil pan meet togather. The axle was a reman from advance, will never buy axles from advance again. I've have nothing but problems.

this exact same thing happen to me..... i had like 2 reman axles and they both broke on me.. the second one put a hole in my 3rd gen 3s oil pan too... luckily i was able to have it welded but i did check out getting one from a part out over at alltrac.net

BTW i finally bought a real one from toyota...

i talk to some axle ppl and it turns out the axle for our car is a bit rare and uncommon. one of the guys speculated that some of the reman will uses camry parts and thus the short shaft length causing the cv joint to break.
